Değişim/Dönüşüm (Changes) marks the first production directed in Türkiye by Thomas Ostermeier, one of the most acclaimed directors of contemporary world theatre. Written by Maja Zade and translated and adapted into Turkish by Timuçin Esen, the production brings Timuçin Esen and Funda Eryiğit together on stage.

At the centre of the play is a married couple whose seemingly successful lives are suddenly thrown into turmoil when the truths they have kept hidden begin to surface. Mine is a successful politician in the midst of an election campaign. Her husband, Tarık, has left his career as a lawyer to become a teacher and is struggling to confront his history of addiction.

What begins as an ordinary day soon turns into a brutal reckoning. As long-buried secrets come to light, their marriage, careers and the values they have built their lives around are put to the ultimate test.
